Do Something on the Net

Do Something on the .Net is a web-based social marketing tutorial designed to educate emerging media developers about the basics of social marketing strategies and health communication. The program exposes tomorrow's advertisers and marketers to health oriented content and encourages them to think more carefully about the types of strategies they use to develop messages. A sponsor provides the focus and content of each unique project, combining their information with the Social Marketing course provided by the program. Klein Buendel collaborated with project partners from The Colorado Skin Cancer Task Force, marketing, health education, and multimedia instructors, and media industry experts to develop the program, making it one of the most focused and unique programs explaining the details of social marketing on the web today. Community colleges, health organizations, and others have used this customizable online tutorial to increase awareness of community-focused topics while training participants on the basics of producing effective public messaging.
